Foreigner in Desperate Need to Share His Illegal Millions with You.

    This scam has existed in the world for quite some time, but has gained new life on the Internet.  The details of the basic patter changes but the general facts are the same.  You are contacted by some foreign person, sometimes a deposed head of some third world country, sometimes an exiled former general, etc.  He has access to millions of dollars but cannot keep them unless he launders the money through a foreign account.  You have been referred to him because of your sterling reputation and you may keep a percentage of the millions if you assist him.  He only needs your account information so he can deposit the funds in your account.  Once he gets your account information you can bet that you will see a debit instead of a credit.

    Sometimes these con artists claim that their government appropriated more than they needed for a construction project, and in order for them to skim some of the money they need to pay the money to a foreign contractor who would be entitled to keep a percentage if they would just provide their account information so the millions can be deposited in their account. See the pattern?
